I walk outside almost daily. I only hit my indoor treadmill when it’s raining hard.
I’ve been asked why I bother carrying when I walk in my neighborhood. Don’t I live somewhere “safe?”
Safe is such a relative and subjective term. No, I don’t fear for my life in my neighborhood, but yes, I really do carry everywhere, just like I preach.
The chances of something happening are probably pretty low, but they aren’t zero.
Here’s how I’m carrying on my daily walks lately:
Bellyband, a Kydex holster, and usually my Glock 43 because it’s small.
The bellyband has a reinforced panel, and the holster with a DCC Monoblock clip grabs onto it, making it very sturdy and secure.
Why this works for me:
It’s fast to put on, which reduces any friction regarding excuses.
I can position it in the same spot I wear my Enigma, making drawing consistent.
It’s relatively comfortable. I wear it over top of my leggings so the band isn’t touching my skin.
I like loose clothes, so printing isn’t usually an issue, but it’s easily concealed by moving it up and down the torso, depending on what I’m wearing.
It doesn’t move around at all, and that’s IMPORTANT.
